Five years ago this job did not exist. Today it is on most supplier lists on the Costa del Sol, and couples who have never heard the title are asking their planner for "the one who films with the phone". Here is what a wedding content creator in Marbella actually does.
The short version
A wedding content creator spends the day with you filming vertical video on a phone, edits it overnight, and hands you reels and stories you can publish immediately. No lights, no tripod, no direction. You get the day as your guests lived it, in the format the platforms want, while people still care.
That last part is the whole point. A wedding film is a beautiful object that arrives in eight weeks. By then the group chat has moved on. Content is a different product with a different deadline.
What the day looks like
Arrival is usually with the getting-ready. Not for the posed shots (the photographer has those covered) but for the half hour before, when the room is loud and nobody is thinking about a camera. From there it is ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, dancing, and whatever happens at one in the morning.
Stories go up live through the day, from your account or ours, however you prefer. The edited reels are cut overnight and land the next morning.
Why vertical matters more than it sounds
A traditional videographer shoots horizontal. Crop that to 9:16 for a reel and you lose roughly sixty percent of the frame, along with the composition the shot was built on. Filming vertically from the start is not a compromise. It is the only way to get a reel that was actually framed as a reel.
What it costs in Marbella
Expect somewhere between €300 and €900 depending on hours. Three hours covering ceremony and early reception sits at the bottom. Full day with prep through dancing sits at the top. Travel outside Málaga province is quoted separately.
A quote well below that range usually means one of three things: no edited deliverable, a very short window, or someone learning on your wedding.
Do you still need a photographer
Yes. They make the images you frame and print. We make the video you post. Most couples book both and the two jobs stay out of each other’s way by design: one is horizontal and patient, the other is vertical and quick.
How to book one
Peak season on the Costa del Sol runs May to October and fills first. Six to nine months ahead is normal for a Saturday in June. Message with your date and venue and you should get an answer the same day.
